Front Sprocket question
« on: June 25, 2014, 11:59:56 PM »
Not had a lot of time to spend on the bike recently.

Fixing the front sprocket on tonight - new sprocket, new retainer clip, new bolts.

I have looked in the manual but cant find any info on how tight the bolts need to be.
Do they need to be torqued up to a specific figure or can they just be nipped up with a smear of thread lock?
Also it seems there are no washers required according to diagrams i have seen.

Was thinking of putting some serrated washers under the bolts?

I was wondering about it also, my conclusion is that since the screws go into the steel, there is no need to worry with torque.
Then again thread lock sounds like a good idea, any thoughts against it?
One step forward, two steps backward...
