Fuel gauge petrol cap
« on: August 08, 2014, 08:14:46 PM »
This is a nice bike but, i have never seen one of these petrol cap gauges on a 500 four. Some years ago i had a 400/4 with the same fuel cap. Any ideas if they were fitted as standard in any country?
Sorry, was on the phone and forgot to put in a link>>>  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1973-HONDA-CB-500-FOUR-500-4-9118-MILES-/301271859108?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item462533bfa4

Never fitted as standard, a period extra like girling shocks etc. Had one on a 750K2 I bought over 30years ago, the cover over the dial had yellowed to almost opaque (like some suzuki clocks used to) and the level float rattled and banged about in the tank with less than half a tank, very annoying!

If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!
