my own preference is to lightly oil the bores before installing the head,
make sure the "O" rings are fitting with the head gasket,
once bolted down,use CLEAN oil in the cam bearings,and squirt through the valve springs,and you can fill the troughs so the cams
are lubed,
any excess will drain into the sump,
once fully assembled ,it is worth spinning the motor over till the oil pressure light goes out,
this may come under the heading of "teaching granny to suck eggs"
