Just an update
Well ditched the short forks, thinkin about it would be great for a low rider cafe racer, re furbed most of what James sent me and waiting on new tubes that my Parisian mate has sent.As norm had to go out today for 2 hours today and the barsteward delivery man had to call then.So will have to wait until tommorrow. As Trig says 150 in the UK to re chrome etc triple that here does anyone want some 750 tubes with the top nuts?
Cheers

I was going to post.....have you not got that fracing bike going yet Bitsa.....but thought that maybe taking the pi**.......so I won't do that.

Think that's part of the basic training with domestic delivery, they wait round the corner to watch you go out and then leg it in with a card to say you were out......perfect timing, job done  :D

Got a mate who's an electrician and his wife swears the exams include sucking your teeth and repeating "Oooooo, that's gonna cost ya".

Tubes arrived today will assemble in the morning and go from there.Just a quickie does any one know how much oil from a clean will be?There are small variations or shall I just put in what the book says for a k2 and with a k4 front end.The k6 has a little more but not alot.Or is middle of the road good enough?

I think the K2 amount should cover all the damper internal function and any more is a matter of preference as it just changes the air gap at the top, so in the middle should be fine.

Well happy now looks right feels right so tommorrow will take the pipes off my other one start her up listen for any weirdo noises. That way my new boxed ones remain new boxed.Trig no problem with the DS master piece of pee fitted bleed and good.I will take my hat off and say most of the replica stuff now fits and works good never thought I would ever say that but they have improved a lot.Front end now looks true and the speedo cable does not look to long now.
Cheers
