Pirelli MT60 tires

Has anyone used the Pirelli MT60 tires on a 550? 

I was thinking the 90/90-19 on the front and 110/80-10 on the rear (if I can find them).  What do you all think, will it work?

If I can't find 110/80-18 for the rear, would the 120/80-18 work or too wide?

Thanks Mic, I think they'll go nicely with the look of the bike, but I'm having real trouble finding someone who stocks the 110/80-18, they all seem to have the 120/80-18 instead.

Not understanding why you want Enduro tyres on a non-enduro bike. Why do you need something with a 80 wall???

I would need to look in the darkest recess of my most crowded shed to know if the conti attack tyres on my 550 were 110 or 120 section, what I would say is that I fitted a tyre that had 5mm clearence off the brake torque arm when at a standstill and after a ride out of 20 miles the tyre had evidence of the sidewall scrubbing the torque arm, happened every time. So that gives some idea of how much tyres grow or flex in use. That was a 15 inch custom bike tyre on a oddball wheel which someone had rebuilt for a chop using different rim. It was quite wide, I can measure it if needed as it is still in the shed.

A 120/90/18 fits a CB550. And the biggest front is 100/90/19 with a standard mudguard.

It's definitely not a "need", and I'd prefer if I could get a 90 wall, but I'm looking at enduro tires for entirely cosmetic reasons. I like the look of the tread pattern.  I may change my mind between now and purchase time, but for now really hoping for the enduro tire look.
If anyone has suggestions for a better tire that still has quite an aggressive look (but no big nobblies please!), happy to hear 'em!

Did I dream this or might there be some safety issues with such tyres used higher speed /  on-road & thence causing inner tubes to overheat / fail.

Can't quite remember what I read... inner tube selection being the issue... or what.  Maybe a bit of research required?

Must admit that tyre choice on appearance alone is not the best or safest idea. Semi off road type tyres don't have as much contact area with the road, which is certainly not a good plan, they can be noisy, and wear very quickly, plus as Lobo said, you really need to watch the speed rating, bearing in mind that if you choose say an H rated tyre of the tubeless type, which is what your 550 woulf need, by using a tube you effectively reduce the speed rating to S, which is only 93mph max, and not suitable for your bike. Whatever you decide to use, be careful, a blow out on a bike at any speed can be very serious

Quite correct the speed rating drops by one category if fitting tubless tyres with a tube. However I still would rather not do it myself. I did have a tyre fitted by a main dealer on my 550k3 that was tubless type on a spoked rim, it blew out about 40 miles after fitting but in defence of that combo, the speec ating was as given in the above example, but the bike didn't exceed 70, what far more likely caused that combo to fail was the numpties had forgotten something even a pushbiking kid should know belongs, a ***** rim tape! I fitted a new tube and rim tape myself and wore the tyre out without further incedent and learnt to weild my own spanners after that. I checked out the legitimacy of the odd tyre combo and decided as it would be my word against theirs about the rim tape that a complaint wasn't worth bothering with. Never went back though.

Thanks for the advice gents, hadn't heard about the issue with the tubes.... I was willing to trade noise and wear, but not safety.  Will look into this.
