Drive chain oiler
« on: December 02, 2014, 09:48:32 PM »
I have built tons of CB750 over the years and have always filled the drive spline on the early ones with rubber to stop it working. I have never thought about removing the oil guide plate. Has anyone ever just removed the oil guide plate?
I was trying to work out if this would effect the bearing.

Probably not Trig, the F1 didn't have the plate, or a hollow output shaft, but the bolt hole for the plate was still present and tapped!
If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!

Did have a bitsa F2 with numbers starting with 25.... in a couple of weeks ago that had the oil guide plate fitted but, no hollow shaft.
