I dunno, a ride in virgin snow on a Honda 90 is great fun, very unlikely to happen down here in Devon though!
If it's got tits or wheels, it's hassle, if it's got both, RUN!!!

Whenever there is extreme weather, at least as far is the south is concerned, it's always Kent that seems to get it.

Yeh been there seen it and done it, We get it 'cos Kent is stuck out in the Sea
Remember trying to ride home from work in the late 70S on a 550 k3  in about 4"and stopping at
a Vicarage to ask if i could leave my bike there and pick it up later, someone took pity
on me walking with my bike stuff and gave me a lift, probably wouldn't happen now a days,
safe riding in snow or not ;)

Yes, stuck out in the sea in Kent, especially if you live where I do at Dungeness !!. I get a more accurate weather forecast if I watch the French forecasts than the local UK one  ;D ;D ;D

Your not the only one that doesn't own a car Steve. And a truck reversed in to my van last week. Great fun picking up forks on a bike ;D

Trig
Manhole covers were all ways dodgy in the wet snow or ice in the days of jokahama tyres

With 15 years only having a bike licence and being 20 miles from work, well off a bus route, I've seen a few winters on two or 3 wheels, looks like this will be my first with 4 - for a fair bit of the time. Sadly cash and other things mean the sidecar wouldn't be on the road this side of Christmas/ new year, 3 bikes already taxed and a car. Also a new hobby in the warmer shed which has electricity. Getting soft in my old age.
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock

Nice bit of turning Mathew,
we have a wadkin wood lathe at work that has a 5 foot face plate on the end spindle if you fancy doing a
giant bowl, that would be an eye turner for you  ;)
