Thanks Trigger & Les,

I've gone for the non-Honda versions so a little more expensive but not too much so.

I'll warm them up, but wonder how they'll stay warm enough for long enough whilst all being fitted to the block and then fiddling with the carbs.

I'll keep you posted.

Also read a hair dryer is a good tip to keep 'em warm; send the missus out for a while...

Is that the kind of thing one uses to remove paint from window frames (albeit niot held too close to the rubber, I guess!)?

Nice thinking, Bitsa.

As it happens, there's no petrol anywhere near my bike at present. I'm looking forward (I think) to adding petrol when the carbs are in place... not only to see if it runs, but before that, to see if the petrol stays in there!
