Finally solved it

After Three years 5 batteries a new rectifier,patched up wiring harness were it wore through on the mono shock and removed the useless datatool alarm,new rocker cover gasket and sump gasket,new plugs new head race bearings the Triumph S4 now starts on a daily basis. :)
Just got to stop the oil leak on the alternator cover,leaky rad hose and weeping fork seal.I may get to enjoy this bike one day.

Thats good mick, i have had bikes like that in the past, and it just spoils the enjoyment
Which triumph is it can you post a picture, i am not up on the models

I have a real marmite relationship with this bike I bought it thinking it would be a reliable as my dads 1200 trophy which has done almost 80k only needing no more than oil changes.
Not my bike but exactly the same
