Hi again guys

Just having a weigh up of moving the needle position as Trig suggested. I'm familiar with workings of carbs but just looking at in situ carbs and am I right in thinking that I can't remove carb slides without undoing the individual carb bodies from the aluminium carb holding plate (to allow the carb tops past the lifters). Hence taking the whole carb bank off the bike each time I move the needle?

Thanks

Phil

Carbs off - needles set on 3rd notch down - remember putting clips back in that notch now. Think it should be on middle? (thought I'd put it back where it was when I stripped it down when I rebuilt them)
Guess that would make it run rich - will put it up a notch
Whats your view on middle notch - std airbox, repo 341's and 836 kit?

Sorry, but you have gone up about 12%. Everything else needs to go up. Standard jet is 100 so, that needs to be 112 minimum. On a 810cc i use 130 jet.

I'm sure I'll get there with the amount of knowledge on here! Did discuss jetting when I bought kit - I'll dig the thread out tomorrow - thanks Graham

The bigger the main jet, then lower the needle needs to be to stop the fuel. Maybe this is why it started OK without the choke.

Trig - update on jetting.  New mains are 110's and pilots 40 (the ones I got from DS).  Put clip on centre notch and will try that and go from there. Have dug old jets out and they where 100's.
Carbs all back together and set up on bench as per manual. Will put them on and let you know how it runs.
Phil
PS - did I see a SOHC member post a thread recently that they are doing a full range of jets. Can't find thread now. Or has DS got genuine items at reasonable prices?
