Around 40k, i can get the exact number tomorrow.  History is i've owned it since Jan 2012, i've got a big wad of MOT history and service stuff from the previous owner who sold it to be because he'd bought a Bonneville.  He bought it off a guy in Rochdale who took the whole bike to bits and built it back to how it looks today.

What were you thinking price wise?

I know a shop that has one with 8200 miles and is looking for less money. Also there is a K on ebay with less than 4000 miles at the same price.

I would say if trying ebay, then list with a low start, see how high it goes, protect it with a reserve, but if you are asking a high price get photos up here and be prepared for some very deatailed comments that might reveal a host of detail annomalies, for that money it needs to be very tidy indeed and detail perfect. There are hundreds of pitfalls with similar parts that function absolutely fine but are slightly different and so wrong for a particular bike. You may just need to lower the asking. I'm afraid I prefer dog eared bikes so cannot offer terribly much advise other than that I know the cost of getting a bike that  last bit of detail perfect rather than looking dead smart is astranomical.
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock

You could also sell it to me, someone who doesn't know what's 100% standard on her own bike let alone anyone elses (I don't really care, mine just looks bloody good) + that is a real girlies colour in my mind  ;D ;D ;D I won't let the female side down by saying I have a nail varnish exaxtly the same colour !!!  ::) ::) ::)

I think the principle reason you're struggling to sell it is the price, it's way too high. The 550/4 is a fine bike, to be certain, but it's neither a desirable 750 or a almost as desirable 400/4 and prices reflect this. I'd be inclined to think around 2.5k max if you actually want to sell it.
