Cam Chain Tentioner Arm
« on: February 08, 2015, 09:15:10 PM »
Hi Guys,

This part looks pretty worn to me, however, is it actually worth replacing? or should I just dismantle it, clean up the burrs and re-install. I can't see the part actually failing in service. but whats the general thoughts on this one?

Thanks, Ryan

That is badly chewed, i would replace it if you can get one (they have been discontinued by Honda but other people make them) and obviously the cam chain as well.

Make sure that the tensioning plunger is free and that the lock bolt/nut undoes and has good threads as it is easier to fix all of it at the same time
