Removing Tank Sealant
« on: March 04, 2015, 10:02:38 PM »
Hi Guys
Just bought a GS1000 project (in bits again - sucker for punishment!) - the tanks the original scallop sided tank but as they rot down the bottom seams, someone has put tank sealant in which is falling off. As I'm going to have the tank welded/braised, can anybody recommend a way of removing the sealant?
Thanks
Phil

All depends on the type of sealant.... acetone will / should remove Kreeme tank sealant.
