Well it seems im going with bt45's in the end anyway.
Also, looking at bridgestones info the 3.25 19 and 100/90 19 measure up almost the same somehow.

I dropped the wheels of today, just waiting for a price.
No rush as my frame is off being powder coated at the moment anyway.

I reccommend the Avon AM 26 roadriders,

 I use 3.25 x 19 F and 4.00 x 18 rear,

this is for my little 500,but they make the feel nimble and light !!

 and grip very well

 I  run 28 psi F and 33 psi rear

The Conti's aren't the most modern but a good compromise. There a mid 70's design but made from a modern compound.
The Roadriders and bt45's look a bit to modern for my liking.

There is something about the rear continentals tread I dont like.
The tyre guy said he's had a few customers who's roadriders had cracked if the bike wasnt regularly riden so he recomended the bt45's.

I was leaning towards them or the k81, in the end I went with performance over style.

Will be a while till its back in one piece but cant wait to get it back on the road :)

I too have heard of the roadriders cracking.
I think the Conti's look beater on the bike than off.

I have flanged alloy rims so I dont know stock size but my rear rim is 2.15.

The sizes Oddjob quotes were the standard size for the 750 that had the wider rims, 500 should use 3.60 x 19 on the front and 4.10 x 18 on the rear

Pretty sure the factory fitment on all 69-76 K models was 3.25*19 & 4.00*18?

You are right according to the parts book 750 was 3.25 front and 4.00 rear the 500 was 3.25 bfront and 3.50 rear. The Guiness must have attacked the grey cells again, i always thought the 750 was bigger on both but perhaps we just fitted bigger!!

:-) I've had a couple of bikes arrive from the us with 3.50 on the front & 4.25 on the rear and they handled like sh*te - in my opinion the factory spec sizes are spot on.

Rims are stamped with width so should be easy for the 750 owners to check. It may be that they stayed unchanged until the F1/F2 when the Comstars were fitted, those were certainly wider than the spoked versions.

Considering how anal  :) the K0 owners are about DID rims I'm surprised one of them hasn't been on to tell us the exact rim size.

original rear K0 rim D.I.D. 2.15 X 18 (JUST GOT MY FINGER OUT :)   )

+1 on that James. Lots of people think that putting wider tyres on will improve the handling but, it does not
