UK short track/flat track
« on: March 13, 2015, 01:11:23 PM »
Thought I spread news and hope to get few of you to see racing or possibly race too!
Dirtquake has been a fun event for last couple of years, I'm hoping to have my cb550f ready for this.
I raced Honda crf450 in rookie class last year and this year bought Husaberg FE600 customized for racing which means taking front brake and changing tyres :) and thats about it.

Copied from website http://www.dirttrackriders.co.uk/

We have had some requests about dates and schedules. We have been waiting to agree a couple of things that have now happened. So here is our full Program for 2015 racing.
(There is a possibility of an extra 2 TT events in the program in 2015 TBA but these will not count towardsthe 2015 championship.)
Some really exciting news for the DTRA. We have made a change to the venue for Round 2. We will now be at the MCN Motorcycle Festival at Peterbrough on the same dates in May.
We have also amended the schedule to include our tie in with Sideburn Magazine and the Dirtquake event.
Full details on the website.
Riders if you have any questions or comments please email info@dirttrackriders.co.uk do not comment here please.

I see the automated word censor works then...   8)

Sadly, our speedway track at Reading closed a few years ago for "relocation" and it doesn't look like we will ever get any speedway/short track events here again  :'(

WOW I didn't realized it might be censored, it would explain why i haven't seen any dodgy posts in here!

It sadly is a case for many tracks around UK, "relocating" is quite common.
Land is been taken by developers and used for flat's or supermarkets.

Still worth to show up and show your support for folks who keep few tracks still open!
Most of DTRA events are free and open for spectators, without restricting access to pits, also we always need marshals on the day, if any one fancy?
