Auto jumble
« on: May 13, 2015, 08:36:45 AM »
Any one know of an auto jumble in Wales or just over the border, looking for bits and bobs for my chopper project. Mainly after a Frisco style petrol tank or something very close to it. Thanks. Something like the pic attached.

Many years ago there was one at 3 counties showground, not sure if it still happens, but there are normally autojumble sections at most bike shows and even classic rallies. The best one I havr been to is Stafford classic bikeshow for bike stuff, our local classic machinery show has a great autojumble and car boot for other stuff like tools and the odd bit of bike, prices tend to be better at the smaller venues, but rare you find what you went looking for ( mind you I always come home with a lot of usefull junk )
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock

I saw one advertised in Gloucester in the car boot sale place, a few weeks back.  Perhaps our Gloucester guy can let us know if and when another one happens.
Where's that 10mm socket got to?

What I was referring to is there was an auto jumble in Hempsted Meadown on Secunda Way, in the same place as the boot sales.

I've never had the chance to attend one of these Auto jumbles - can you still unearth decent stuff there?
