Enjoying the Fizzy... briefly; as home too short a while.
If I've one general observation... it's that the build quality no where near matches the same vintage Honda's I have. Parts are often painted versus chromed, eg main chain guard, pedal guard, air box, front forks, tail light housing... all painted silver. (OEM spec)
The pedal cranks are simply zinc plated - again, I think Honda had chromed those.
No front brake light switch (1974). Can't remember if my SS50 had one though....
Frame, swing arm + loads of bits now gloss black powder coated... rebuild next when I'm home. Tis rather 'cute': the 'whole bike' (inc engine) in a cardboard box 18" cubed on my dad's garage floor.
A BIG plus is that it's been SORNed since May 1984. I reckon it's been rebuilt & sat for almost 30 yrs & then tarted up again as 90% appears new / reconditioned to a high standard.
Fizzy forum 'quiet'.... to be fair always get an answer, but generally just the one.
All in all a rather different experience all 'round. No regrets though & looking forward to a 20:1 mix in the tank, blue smoke in my nostrils & wheel'ing down that local chippie.
