Honda CB1X 125, 2015 Upgrading possible?
« on: July 07, 2015, 06:49:55 PM »
Hello everyone! im very new to the community and I just begun a few months ago riding motorcycle, so im a real newbie to all this, getting the hang of it. I bought a Honda CB1X 125, 2015, and I just wanted to ask you maybe if you guys could shed some light on wether this motorcycle is upgradable in any way, suspension, motor, etc, or if it would be better to buy a completely new motorcycle? I will strap a dog cage to the back of the motorcycle and 2 side bags for my tools and stuff, I understand I will go really slow driving up a hill, but im to pumped to care about going slow jaja all I like is moving freely.

I will attach a generic photograph of my bike because its literally the same!
And a photo of the cage I will strap on, I found the idea on the internet.

there is very little you can do to the motor but you can upgrade the suspension. it depends how far you need to travel though. i met someone yesterday who has covered over 80,000 miles on a honda 250 with a cage on the back seat for the chickens he sells in the local market. enjoy the ride, you dont need a big powerful bike to have fun.

Hi.

You might get some strange comments from a bunch of old guys in the UK talking about 1970s bikes, but what the hell...

I understand that there are some pretty serious mountains in your part of the world - you may need a bigger bike (like the one in the second photo)

Thanks Hayness, aye im german too! Aye I've noticed you don't need too much to travel to be honest, I mean theres a big difference on a 700cc than on a 125cc, but u get the job done either way jaja! After reading the manual it says that I should always keep the suspension on the 2nd spot, for better all-around, so ill leave it there till I really get the hang of everything.

Hey steve! Yeah there are some nasty mountains over here, and oxygen intake on motorcycles and cars is serious business when u get to 4000mts above sea level, lets hope the bike can take me up the big hills!
