Steering lock key
« on: July 26, 2015, 07:45:38 PM »
Can anyone help me to source a spare key for the steering lock on my cb750 k2.
I've been looking for a number on the barrel but can't find any.
Is it located elsewhere?
I also have a spare seat lock but not sure if the two match.

Is there any way to find out?

Thank You

That is not a CB750K2 lock or yoke

The number on the steering lock may be down the side of the lock, which is a catch 22 because you would have to drill the lock out to find the number.

The bottom yoke is the same as my 2 CB750K6,s

As far as I know the Neiman steering locks were used on a number of different Honda models, and other makes.
I have recently replaced the one on my 400, there were no markings on the one that came out.
Replacement is fairly simple by drilling out the lock.
There is some info in this thread: http://www.sohc.co.uk/index.php/topic,8548.0.html.
Your seat lock looks to have a different type key, more like an ignition key which would fit with the T number.

You could make the seat lock fit the key, fairly simple job.
