I went yesterday in a mates car we got there for 8.30am no queue's on the road leading up to the show, straight in the field and parked a couple of cars away from the ticket booth  , I saw a few CB750'S mainly F1's outside for sale or breaking , and a couple of nice K0's inside the Red one and the Blue on, I enjoyed the John McGuiness interview, it seemed a lot quieter this year and fewer stalls inside and out ?, we left at 5pm and got out of the field as fast as we got in  , I only spent £8 all day cheers Mick.

I always thought Sunday was the 'manic' day, never been on a Sunday, information from past years posts. Saturday was the usual 45 minute que after 10.00am, car park over half full and certainly full inside and outside of the ground by mid day.

Bonhams had changed to a different hall this year (£25.00 catalogue/entrance fee for 2) Just read in the Daily Express that Steve McQueens 1934 Indian Scout sport 750cc sold at Stafford on Sunday for a shade under £60K

Very strange, I'm beginning to think that I went to a different show! 
Just checked the free 'Motorcycle Monthly' from the entrance tunnel.
Trader list page 30/31, no 'David Silver Spares' entered in any of the halls?...

If David Silver wasn't there then who did I pay for my oil pump seals, and should I stop waiting for the postman to come? They were in the hall which is at the back as you go into the main exhibition space - the guy who served me was impressed that I'd brought my own parts book with me, so he didn't have to look the numbers up. They didn't have a lot of stock with them, but were doing an offer of £1 delivery, whatever you bought. Not as good for my oil seals but if you bought some serious metalwork...

A couple of nice candy blue green K0's there, the owner of one looking a bit suspiciously at me, I was looking closely to spot if all the bolts were 'number 8' ones or not, a few of mine have been changed to new plated ones with modern markings on them, and I'm sad enough to care.

Outside there were some lads from Stockport who I know, they'd been camping in a box trailer (that they'd brought all their bike bits in) that was full of sleeping bags. They sold a CB750 K2 bottom end cheap, but not before I'd bought the oil pressure switch off it for £4, mainly for the rubber boot which I don't have, but also so I have a spare switch.

One of the highlights for me was outside in the 'paddock' hearing the Laverda V6 run, and a CR750 replica, shame they didn't fire up Sammy Miller's V8 Guzzi. Like Mick I went on Sunday, straight in and out, no queue.

Dss was definitely there just moved from his usual corner position. Also the red 750K0 had a 17mm oil filter bolt instead of 12mm. Just shoot me now.

I seem to remember reading that the oil filter hex size  was reduced in later production to prevent shearing off the boss in the crankcase. Could be wrong. Also, I think sandcasts definitely had large 8 bolts but a lot of diecasts did not. I bought a Yamiya kit of No8 bolts for my 10/69 K0 (not particularly good replicas) but unsure what it would have had originally. My '69  CB250/350K0/K1 twins definitely had large '8' bolts though but not all of them, some had plain heads with no number at all. Brr weather getting colder ...must dig out me anorak

Yes Ash i need my anorack now.
You are right on the 17mm oil filter housing ,i read a Honda bulletin last week.
It was to stop over tightening and cracking the filter housing, the housing being changed as well and the later one has a number 2 cast on the top of it.
