Only took a year
« on: October 28, 2015, 10:03:32 AM »
Finally got an mot on my 400
Carbs all rebuilt using genuine parts and it runs like a sewing machine....like a 10k miles Honda should
No noises no smoke
It seems the story that it was parked up in the late 80's were true...the guy couldn't afford car and bike insurance when it went through the roof.
Very happy with this one

Yeah ill get more pics up...
When I got it it had a fairing so mirrors were removed ...I did think I had a set kicking around but I don't have a matching pair they will do but it's so standard I don't want to just stick bits on it as they never get changed...so I am on the look out for a genuine set..... (any one got a genuine pair they don't require?)
I see silvers do a genuine mirror.at about 17 quid...are they the correct ones ?

Well done, that bike looks great.  Pity the good weather's disappeared.
Where's that 10mm socket got to?

If I get a chance at the weekend I'll dig out the old original beat up mirrors and check the difference ...I think it was the stamp on the back one was oval (new one) original was diamond I seem to recall but other than that not much difference maybe length?

Cool cheers
If you have an original pair...that you don't want....beat up is ok I would happily buy them from you
The bike is not restored but an honest 40 year old bike so a bit of character won't matter to me ..but genuine would be great
