Thread with homemade dial faces???
« on: November 27, 2015, 09:04:17 PM »
When I first joined the forum I see a thread where someone had made their own dial faces and telltale surround. Now I want to read it again I can't find it and I completely forgot what it's called.

Does anybody know what I'm referring too???

I do remember that 'post' many years ago?  I ended up  buying 2 sets for CB 750 from a guy in the states, cannot recall his name, but the quality was good.

Thanks guys for your replies, and ash for your pm.

I have cleaned, refurbed, zero'd miles and made new clock faces myself. All I need is some new dial overlays. I have contacted Peter but unfortunately he doesn't supply them.

In the thread the guy had scanned his dials, touched up all the blemishes and printed. I'm trying to find out what he printed them on and how he stuck them on?

Unfortunately not Trigger. In the thread the guy had made white dials and white label for telltale. Iv been through all the build threads and can't find it so Iv either missed it or it must be in a model specific section of the forum.

Thanks Chris, that is the guy I'm messaging at the moment to see if he can supply the correct ones as his listing for the 350f dials are wrong. All the US 350f's Iv found have 110mph speedo not 130mph.

If all else fails then I'll have to order from the states but didn't really want the dials lying around that long in pieces as something is likely to go missing.

Did you try Will Barber as I suggested in my email to you earlier this week, his email barbers@rowanhouse1demon.co.uk and not sure where the 130mph speedo comes into this subject. Fitted to the very early 400f and some USA models, sure the dial face is the same size as a 350f but the mileage apertures are in different positions and the internal mechanism is different.

If you order from the USA it takes maybe 10 day at the outside.
