Well, the header already gives it away  ;)

I need a carrier whom I can contract online to pick up a parcel (carton roll, holding a bike livery kit for an ST1100) in West Sussex RH15 9TY and ship it to Vienna, Austria.
Already peeked at dhl.co.uk, where I could instruct such procedure (they even accept PayPal, Visa, MC, etc...), but 52 quid for a 2kg parcel seems a bit steep IMHO...

Somewhat cheaper should be avail., even DS sends items for about half that amount...

TIA!

cheers

Try looking up  parcel to go online, they are a bit like a comparison website, give you loads of different carriers and prices to look through. Or try a firm called My Hermes, they do international carriage at very good prices, and they take PayPal as well.

Go to www.interparcel.com - you get a large selection of "quotes" once you've entered the details.

I used to do that but Hermes was always the cheapest so now go with www.myhermes.co.uk every time*

Thanx a bunch Steve!
GBP 16.85,- for pickup and delivery to Vienna by Hermes sounds much more like it!

I don't think that a plotter cut reflective day-glow foil-set falls into any prohibited group...  ;)
As mentioned elsewhere have I recovered an old, badly vandalized '94 ST1100 and rebuild it to police spec (with yellow/amber strobes though) serving as a "marshalling" bike at gatherings, and am still tinkering on a livery for it.

Bluelite Graphics Ltd are very helpful in design and production, but doing domestic business their backing out on organizing the shipment.

Thanx again!

If you get stuck, Burgess Hill is about 15 mins up the road from me so I can collect and ship to you if necessary. James

Thanx James, very nice offer!
Might need to get back to you if the Hermes thing doesn't pan out.

I have recently used parcel2go.com

On their website they show you the comparisons and offer quite a lot of choice...i.e. you might want to spend a tenner to get your gasket next day or it's maybe £2.50 if you aren't in a hurry.

Via the parcel2go.com website, I have used Hermes to collect stuff a few times and they have been excellent......and get my recommendation.

+1 from me for Hermes.
Never used the international service but have used a number of times for deliveries in the UK, always fine.

Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock

Yep - I also use parcel2go and they are excellent. Will be using them to get the K1 seat to Keith using UPS...
