Turnsignal reminder/beeper

Well, my '76 CB500K2 is supposed to have that (as the 550).

Is that thing instantly beeping when the indicators are switched on, or is there a delaying component present retarding the audible signal for like 90 or 120 seconds?

Yes its irritating but there's nowt worse than seeing someone ride off into the distance with an indicator flashing away. Did think about taking mine off but decided the noise is the lesser evil. Best system was the self cancelling indicators yamaha fitted on my late model RD 250 back in the day. Think they flashed for a certain distance travelled. Seems to be a few people that didn't like them but they worked fine for me. Due to a snapped tendon in my left thumb I find I it awkward to find the indicator switch and  when I'm riding my DRZ  am always double checking I've switched them off.

Well, I will then implement an electronic 120~180 sec delay (hidden in the headlight bowl), covering most traffic light phases, tripping only in cases of actual forgetfulness... (is it still a restoration with improvements installed?)

UK dealers were asked to disconnect them as it was considered to be too similar to the noise given at Pelican crossings meaning it was safe to cross and so confused blind people

It's more that case that I feel like a total dick sitting at a set of traffic lights indicating to turn left or right with the f*ing buzzer going off like a mad thing...

Three minutes is a long time though, would have thought 20 or 30 seconds would be plenty for most situations. Would have thought the biggest risk in leaving an indicator on is someone pulling out on you at a junction thinking you are going to turn left. You can travel a long way in 3 minutes  Good  idea though, how big are the units?

The RedAlert alarm system in my '00 ST1100 is linked into the t/signal wiring, featuring a 120sec delayed t/signal reminder, so far working within the time increments most of the local traffic lights are operating.
Sure, if I sit longer (left or right turn lanes with individual signals) I've to cancel and reactivate the t/signal over that "meep-meep-meep-..." comming from the HU installed

hand signals are good.  It is almost impossible, even for me, to forget to put my arm down again.

Well, I rarely forget to cancel my t/signals and only throw the beeper into the K2 for authenticity 
(what else to do with the punched-out tab in the inside of the LH fork ear?  )

I had one on my K2 but took it off as the sound is awful.

That's one of my pet hates ; amateur drivers in front of me keeping their indicators on, especially in a filter lane where it's obvious which direction they're going.  Some cars indicators are mega bright, more so when it's raining.

A pet hate of mine is the TWA*S who leave their indicators on or their foot on the brake (on Automatic cars) at night while sitting at the traffic lights....especially the SUV's or big vehicles where the lights are right in your line of sight when your'e in a car........I sometimes switch on my headlights and they get the message.....but usually they are oblivious or too busy listening to their 200W sound systems.

When you are on a bike it's a lot easier...as you just filter in front of them.....and ferk them!

I agree,BUT my Yaris has an auto MMS gearbox,and when stationery a circuit linked to the brake lights stop the clutch engaging,
take your foot off the brake,the clutch engages and off you go,so you need to put in neutral,and handbrake on,unless there is
no one behind you!!

And those eejits that indicate to pull out for a parked car, even if there's no other vehicles on the road.   It just shows a complete lack of awareness
