headlight glass
« on: February 07, 2016, 01:13:28 PM »
Hi all, The headlight on my CB750F1 1976 does not have a place for the parking light bulb? when looking at replacements, they seem to be convex, and mine is concave? it has K4 made in Belgium on the rear. I have taped it to try to see what it is made of and not sure if it is glass or metal?
Can anyone offer any help please
Thanks
John

Standard F1 headlight is convex, yours obviously has an aftermarket replacement. Also, the standard unit is a sealed unit, if one filament blows you have to replace the whole light unit.

Not sealed beam in UK always a replacement bulb but US and some other countries had sealed beam which are frequently OK in UK as they dip straight up and down not with an angled cut off like cars. A standard 7 inch car unit will fit and if used in UK you should have a parking light or sidelight as that is the "obligatory" light
