Thought they would have an early crankcase 500K0 ... maybe they don't know about it as James has them all (except 1) 

In the background of the 'Vic World' sandcast 750 is the CB250 JDM 'Dream'  like I am building !

  they do look good,buts its sad they are unlikely ever to be ridden and enjoyed ,a bit like the NMM near the NEC,good,but soulless,

 I love aircraft ,so I visit museums,while Hendon is brilliant,the same thing applies,

 also  Cosford,and some of Duxford,

 but areas of Duxford show the living aircraft,those that are still flyable,those look even better,
maybe the best museum is Shuttleworth,it houses cars,bikes and flying aircraft,mainly from pre 1944 era,nearly all still used,
it looks great to see a machine with a drip tray underneath,leaking oil after being used



   forgive my rant,I think machines have souls,and need to be used regulary !!!

Totally agree John thats my excuse for having a half arsed restoration.
I must revisit Duxford I pass it almost weekly but haven't been there for years.

If you want to see aircraft over 25years old that have been refurbished , just visit Heathrow

If you like to see old planes, sit it my back garden. The Battle of Britain Memorial flight is based about 4 miles away at RAF Coningsby, along with al the very modern fighter jets.

If you really want to see an 'Unspoilt' Museum.......try the War Museum in Valetta, Malta.

It has all sorts of bits and pieces on display from WWII, and it looks like a bunch of school kids has put it together....but it really is a natural and national treasure.

The 'Piece de la resistance' is the George Cross which was awarded to the people of Malta for their bravery, determination and courage in resisting the German onslaught during WWII.

 I visited Malta some years ago - and I will return one day, but the Museum just humbles you and makes you think that whatever difficulties your life may encounter, the people of Malta met far, far greater challenges, and overcame them all.

Valetta's a bit far for a rideout though.
Cosford was a good visit, Four enormous hangers packed with just about every type of aircraft from all over the world.  4 hours just wasn't enough, although Mrs MTB would disagree.
The Fleet Air Arm Museum is also worth a visit as is the Bovington Tank Museum

Never said it was a K0 ,my point was that they have a 1st year sandcast, a first year JDM CB250K Dream , so why not have a 1st year CB500? . One of these days I will have all tree of those bikes built up for the 'Ashimoto' museum  but alas my 750K0 is not a sandcast is a lowly diecast.

Ha Ha Julie    it was actually a plug for the Honda museum in Japan not the DS museum. Like to put the record straight here, I am no big mucker of DS, in fact never had a single penny discount from him. However, I did get him to join us on here to comment on things like his pattern parts vs genuine, supply of HM323's , quality/supply issues etc but as soon as he joined he immediately got a few digs from a couple of members  about his postage prices and prices of parts. This wasn't really my reason for asking him to join us and he then  told me he would rather me get a list of questions (non price/postage related) and for me to ask the questions as a 'go between' 

I can hear Pete muttering about steam and bodily fluids .. I still crack up every time  I quote that saying of yours Pete.. it's a classic  I keep saying it to my son.

I hear where you are coming from Ash, but wouldn't it be nice if they were all UK spec bikes in a UK museum. This would stop a lot of confusion to visitors with limited knowledge of what is USA spec and UK.

Personally, I think it's a shame DS does not communicate more via the forum. With the depth of knowledge that some members have about these bikes, it would possibly prevent wrong parts being advertised / sold on his site. We all know he has a history of selling the wrong part for a certain model but insisting it's the correct part.
