It would seem after digging there is nothing to pick between the two. Even the Honda parts books lists both makes. Its down to personal preference then.

Bit of a update. Its been fine just normal riding about until this afternoon when I went to see what it would do. I got up to 120mph on the clock pulling just over 12000rpm in top gear. The run is downhill, and it cut out at the end of the run. I got it running and went for a second top speed run with exactly the same result. Got it home and I have now removed the diaphragm valve and made a blanking plate and blanked the vac pipe take off. See what happens now. Trouble is I am going away tomorrow and don't know whether to take it with us or to take the 750.

Its done nothing hardly over the last few years. I will take it out tomorrow and put a few more miles on it. I have never been a noisy road bike fan but it is quite addictive, does sound good and turns a few heads. Redline starts at 12500rpm and its howling then. It needs chopping and altering as I don't like the way the can is mounted.

Well as there seems to be no shortage of 400 fours I thought I would join in and acquired this on Thurs. What a cracking little bike it is to ride. Uncomfortable at the moment, well downright painful due to needing a new hip which hopefully will be done just after Christmas, but I really do like it. I bought it untried and no mot, took it on Sat for test and it sailed through and rode fine. Lorraine went to Sherburn in Elmet on Sunday on it got there no problems. Coming back it started in the carpark fine but after about 400yds spluttered to as stop. Eventually got it started again and this was repeated time and time again until after about 10mls it decided to sort itself out and came home the remaining 15mls no bother. My thoughts are after draining the tank an looking at the snow white plugs are even though it has a manual fuel tap it is also a vac operated diaphragm valve on as well. I think the diaphragm valve must have been stuck starving it of fuel. Pulled in bits and put back together as it was spotless. I have done 60mls on it today stopping every mile or so and turning off the engine so the vale would operate and it has been faultless. Anyone any other thoughts as it is going on the back of the van on Weds for a few days away.

Different on the USA ones then. I was just a bit surprised to see a train weight of 426kg which is the weight including trailer. Which we were not allowed to tow in 1976 in the UK, but maybe so in some mainland Europe countries.

I have leds in my clocks and idiot lights the improvement is minor but they run a lot cooler and save a few watts. These bike are not exactly overflowing with electricity and as they say every little helps.
