ok peeps i just rebuilt my top end i had an oil leek from some where so i just started it up it ran soon as fuel got into the carbs i rev it and there was 1 small pop from the engine then i noticed oil all over the floor i noticed the oil filter was loose but i never touched it on the rebuild at all the thread on the bolt is stripped so could the pop i heard been the bolt popping out is if could there be anything i,ve done on the rebuild to corse it to happen

i know no how to work out what shell you need for a crank . i was told the shells are matched to the cases aswell as the crank is this right?  i am just thinking as i have a crank with no marks on it but it has a good set of shells with it . plus i have a set of cases witch has no crank i have never put these two together. can someone tell me if the shells are match to just the crank or the cases as well???

has anyone got a lower engine case they can look at i need to know somethink where you put the oil seal for the gear lever shaft where the seal fits into. at the bottom of mine theres like a cut out bit not very big need to know if it show be there you car,nt see it when the seal is in i,ve never notice it before when doing my engine,s

note to self when i build my engine on my show bike to do all the bolts up inside it because if i forget one it will come strait through the clutch case and say hi not a happy chappy at all plus to top it off i sold all my 400/4 bits of last wekk as a job lot and yes you,ve guess,d it there was some clutch casing in the job lot gerrrr

my 12 year old son is rebuilding a ss50 we have all parts but rear shocks can only get patten one,s but they come in two sizes does any one know what lenght they should be from eye to eye in mm please
