Doubt you didn't see it. I am off to Egypt tomorrow morning for a week so will send you a photo when I get back (of the petrol tap, not a camel  ;D )

Quick question. If I buy valves, valve guides and spring retainers from the USA for around £250, what am I going to be hit with in import duties, VAT etc when they arrive. Anyone got any experience with bringing stuff in from US.  :-\ :-\

Royhall, I am building an 1979 F2 just now ( and for a while, Mick LOL) as a cafe racer so I have a pile of bits I ain't using, I.E. brakes wheels etc. Give me the wire ( or anyone else for that matter ) if you are short of anything. May be able to help.

Liam, I did my F2 carbs in a £20 Aldi ultra sonic cleaner using "carb clean" fluid bought on E-bay. Worked a treat! Just takes longer, I.E. two or 3 minute timer so you have to be there to keep switching it back on ( watch a movie in the kitchen ! LOL ). Did an article for Practical Sportsbikes. Can send you a copy on Word if you want.

Definately Plastigauge. Did an article for Practical Sportsbikes magazine last year which explains how it works so from that, you could measure the crank diameter, add the Plastigauge clearance and therefore determine the shell sizes. Its a word document just short of 5Mb so give me your E-mail address and I will send. And anyone else who want it.

CB750STU, if you run your bike without indicators and are involved in an accident, your fault or not, your insurance company will have a field day and will probably not pay out under any circumstances.  >:(

I set carbs by eye on the bench then use the carb balancer with the engine running. To tell the truth they are never that far out when using the carb balancer. Like the idea though  :)
