Dear All,
Just got my Honda CB400F cylinder back from wetblasting, gonna mount NOS pistons with a third oversize, so 51,75mm.
Ofcourse the machine guy will measure each piston and match that size to the sleeve/bore.
Which clearance must he take? As tight as possible? 0,04mm or 0,05mm or 0,06mm (sorry no inches)

Just got my Honda CB400F cylinder head back from the machine shop, which valve stem seal (12209-333-005) would you advice? NOS, Athena or NE Viton ones or other?

Dear All,
Just bought a Honda CB400 four engine in parts, which I would like to rebuild. All the parts are looking ok, and are a good base to start from, but I need a little help on the bearing codes.
Sadly they already took of the conrods from the crankshaft so I dont know in which sequence they were mounted. But with new shells it should not matter right? (The conrods all are the same weight code)
Crankcase stamps: A C C C C
Crankshaft: A1 A1 A1 A1 1
Conrods: 3 3 1 1
Crankcodes will be than: A1 C1 C1 C1 C1 so that is Yellow and C1 is? Please advise C1!
Conrod codes: A3 A3 A1 A1 so that is Green, Green, Red and Red? Please confirm.

Ok, but is the big washer needed at all? It is not 100% flat, maybe pre tension? Am I safe to mount lighter/open sprocket with out the washer?

Dear All, quick question about the camshaft sprocket, there are two versions, the solid earlier one and the later lighter version with holes. When do you mount the the big black washer? Only with the solid sprockets? Or always? Please advise. Kind regards, Emiel
