Can anyone tell me the Nippon Denso part numbers for the metal shrouded plug caps as fitted to Euro CB750K0 and CB400F? The part number is stamped into the metal shrouding.

Could this be a proper K0 with linked carbs?? Interim model ?? like DSS sold James May and was from France http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CB750-K0-Project-barn-find-/221793607598?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item33a3eddfaeEngine sounds like K1 but dunno about 'interim' rare model I don't think it is a US import because it has correct km/h clocks for Italian market. I would have thought the airbox would be later 'ribbed' black type though. CB750 (1969-1970) frame from 1000001, engine from E1000001 CB750 K1 (Aug 1970-Nov 1971) Frame from 1053399, engine from E1044806

Built a parts polisher two 50p bowls and a 30p funnel from Wilco plus a bit of big boys (or girls) Meccano. Motor is from an old Vibrasaun massager with eccentric disk on it but one from a dishwasher pump would probably do. great for polishing pre-plating and after zinc removal using the Ashimoto 'witches brew'. I am using glass bead media as I don't have any ground walnut shell type. It sits on 4 CB250K clutch springs ! 'Potty talk' removed by author https://youtu.be/0skTq5b5Vt0Ash

Question from me on HondaTwins.net site: Any comments on here about this? Trigger ? Bryan? Oddjob? Etc.
"Some of my original Honda spoke nipples have thin dished washers under them and some don't. Difficult as Honda don't seem to list a separate nipple part number".
Ash (UK)
Reply from another HondATwins member:
"The domed washers are often used to allow a slightly larger hole diameter for the spoke.... (to correct for slight differences in hub diameter or hole's drilled angle for instance.....) ... They also act as a "thrust" or bearing washer simplifying accurate tightening of the nipples...."

QUOTE ON BZP ... I couldn't buy the chemicals for much less than they charge.
Home plating is great and I have done quite a bit for small rare items but its messy and time consuming IMHO
Ash ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hi Ashley Thank you for your valued inquiry. The barrel plate the parts would be £37.00 plus VAT (£44.40). We would require a turnaround time of 5 working days. Our opening hours are 8 am – 5 pm Monday to Thursday, and 8 am to 12.30 Fridays. Hello, I need to get some carbon steel components re zinc plated (BZP ... barrel if possible). They are all:- Corrosion free Stripped of old zinc plate using hot caustic/EDTA solution at 70 deg C, so I can guarantee old plating has been removed I have either tumble polished or fine bead blasted them after BZP removal They are thus grease free. about 10% need yellow chromate passivate, the rest blue passivate. They are mostly small fastener parts and the total volume is approximately a large shoe-box full. Can you give me an estimate on turnaround and rough price guide please. I am only in Willerby, Hull, East Yorkshire, so drop off and pickup is no problem. Kind regards .. Ashley Derrick 07515121226

Try this. http://www.stripperspaintremovers.com/pdfs/AR-510%20Usage%20Data.pdfYou can buy two sample quantities of 500ml each (total 1 litre) and get free delivery for 13 GBP. Nice people to deal with too. Please note that this product contains dichloromethane (methylene chloride) and must only be used for adhesive removal. Using it for stripping paint or lacquer is against the law unless you are licenced.

This person seemed to list his CB750K0 bike at a reasonable auction price, not sure if it sold or not. Rob a friend of mine and fellow 350K twin owner, sent the seller a very valid question on it, as he had owned one in early 1970 and has been watching all of the examples sold recently. (The seller included his question at the end) I reckon people like 'Frank' on eBay are artificially hiking up the price but never actually realize anything like the asking price. I have always pitched on my UK K0 being worth about 9k when complete (not that I reckon I will ever sell it) and this is what the seller was asking as a start price for his. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111671781774?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITMake no mistake though that those early bikes are money pits with sharks (mainly on eBay UK ) out to pull a fast one on you. Example this looks a little optimistic when Saisei have a set of Yamiya NoNo pipes on there at the same time at less than half the price. A well respected sandcast restorer I know took a brand new set of HM300's off his bike and bought a set of no.no. ones from Saisei as he considers they are more in keeping with the original pipes and without the 'paragraphing' stamped into them. My Genuine HM300's are stashed in the loft but when I eventually get the bike done and come to fit them, God knows if they will fit properly as i heard horror stories about fit and quality at the end of production. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-HM300-Exhaust-System-NOS-CB750-K0-K1-/261897859386?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cfa54313a

Anyone know a bulk source for exact equivalents of Honda plain & spring washers in BZP?
I got a pack 50 off 12 mm AF m8x1.25 BZP 'JIS" nuts from Amazon USA for 10 GBP inc delivery, recently (thanks David @ Saisei for finding them)
Ash.

http://www.abacuscaralarms.co.uk/bikes/Test_Reports/Honda_CB400F.htmlThey mention VASCAR speed enforcement in the article ....... that was an acronym I had forgotten about. JGC 606N is still in existence in bits but the owner also has another mega-rare iconic Honda and they, sadly, have both been in bits for 30 years 'ish. It was a Euro model (note indicators)

Trying to track down unique parts for the CB250 JDM only ' Dream' Relica I am hoping to build as a 'future' project starting with spare parts I have from a UK '69 CB250SS (K0) A few leads on Yahoo Auctions Japan (no eBay there .. we used to have Yahoo here but it was gobbled up by eBay ). Has anyone on here successfully registered? Trouble is trying to register proving difficult. I have got a good lead from a CB350G owner in Japan, who teaches English there, so maybe he can help me too. Not contacted DK yet . They have an office in Japan I think [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] Ash
