Once you get the frame powder coated,  you'll feel a lot more positive about the whole project.  Trust me, I had a stolen/recovered bike in my mates shed for 19 years.

I removed all the hare krishna references as I'm damned if I'm giving them server space to up their Google ratings.

I also removed all the links.

... and his account :)
Finally...someone who knows the difference between their,  there and they're.

Perhaps it's his idea of an experiment.   I bet he won't be doing it that way again.

Hi Mike how's you doing?

I'm Ok, you and Jan are Ok I trust.
400four is SORNed for the winter and I'm restoring a 650 Katana.   It's a bit of a rat but I think of it as a very long term project: something to keep me occupied.

I think I'll get the broom out and sweep the shed floor, there should be about £20 worth of crud under the bench at least

398cc were produced for the Japanese home market because of certain restrictions on bikes over 400cc.
I resent having to pay an extra 50% road tax beckon a measly 8cc, so good luck to you.

Don't remind me about differential calculus!

Anyway, I fitted a dyna system as well as Dyna coils a few years back.  It now pulls like a train going up hill.  The new coils are also rain proof - the OEM ones used to suffer from getting wet, despite all the sealant.
What I like about the Dyna is there's no extra box of electronics to wire in; it's all on the points plate.  I had to add an extra lead to supply 12v to the points plate but that was it.

Forgot to mention,  make sure the tensioner is completely free (not sticking) and likewise for the pushrod otherwise you're wasting your time.
