What lovely work, and quite an achievement in following this path of producing something of such detail and quality in engineering.

Thanks for bringing thread up to date so that we can see it progressing.

Amazing work and equally amazing finds of such rare and replica parts. Great to see the project is still progressing and looking forward to more updates. The finished bike will be outstanding and I look forward to reading a road test in one of the magazines 👍

I had no idea I would spend this morning reading this ongoing project from 2016.

What a fascinating read this is, I've never consciously known the difference between Replica and Tribute..

My guess is that the works factory racing  bikes underwent continuing development so each old pit or track photograph is a snapshot in time.

When I've seen racing replica bikes at Stafford Show I've just given them a cursory glance without a thought of the work that has gone into making them. Now I'm a tiny bit wiser as to the hours if work involved.

Thanks for the super positive replies - this project has been going on a while for sure.

Ted - this is simply my take on the differences of course - but it has helped me make decisions with this project and others in the past! Both routes end up with bikes that can be enjoyed of course.

All the best,

Amazing work.

Unobtainable parts...no problem. Off to the foundry, get it cast, then machine up. Really can;t wait to see the finished object, but work to this standard is not fast.
