500 four Tank Vent

I think my tank vent must be blocked. The bike spluttered to a stop and took a while to restart. I took the tank off to drain it but after a minute nothing came out. I opened the cap and as soon as I did the fuel started to drain. Close the cap and it stops. The fuel tap is clean so it points to the vent. Can the vent be serviced if so how. Thanks Chris

  not sure which model you have,but the K2 has a vent in the cap,in the plate that has the big rubber ring,there is a hole punched
out,
use a wire to check if it is clear .

Thanks yes it's a K2. I will get poking and see if that does the trick.
