1970 CB750 BATTERY WARNING DECAL

[StevieWonder]

I don't think the USA 1970 CB750 came with a battrery warning label and that they first appeared on the K1. I could be wrong - there's always a first time  . If so, perhaps one of you knowledgeable Gents or Ladies would identify the correct design and location (Inner rear mudguard, top of frame or elsewhere).

you might want to look at the cmsnl (https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb-four_model7148/) web diagrammes for your bike

Thanks, know this site well, usually very helpful, but can't see any appropriate 'Mark' listed on the relevant diagrams.

Doesn't look like it shows up on any of the K model microfiche drawings (although I'm sure I've seen them on K's).

There's a sticker shown on the F model diagrams, but some of the parts lists no longer list the part number.  Since the battery design and routing isn't all that different to the K models, I think the sticker you're referring to is part #24 on this diagram.

Somewhere in the technical/service bulletins is a page showing all the different overflow stickers

no, I went over it for the various models/countries and could not see one although I am guessing you are talking about the 'caution' decal like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CB750-FOUR-BATTERY-CAUTION-DECAL-K0-K1-K2-1969-1972/202645092969?hash=item2f2e96ba69:g:xHYAAOxy4fVTDihO
although I notice they are not always the same being offered even for the same year/model of bike!!

Thanks for the comments so far. There are a number of ebay adverts offering decals for the K0, but are they correct. For example, some decal sets include a yellow "HELMET HOLDER" decal - I don't hink it has a helmet holder, unless it's the hook on the seat catch - would be grateful for confirmation or correction. As with the battery warning sticker it seems difficult to get an authorative reference.

Not a textbook assembly, but these may help . . .

Looks like I have the wrong battery sticker but whatever, it's on the inner rear plastic mudguard.  Not a lot of other places to stick it.

Helmet holders are on the raised rear section joining the frame sides (the bit that supports the back end of the seat).

Sorry - can't work out how to embed images from Google Drive . . .

I have no doubt he will know and be able to supply what is needed along with locations.

might be worth getting a workshop manual (maybe https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262731616823) if you don't already have one and assuming your going for a 'fresh from the factory' look.  I was given one for my 400f2 and its been invaluable - even has cable routing pics) but that's no to say a workshop manual will have decal locations so, as mentioned,  piki  is the way to go.

Thanks again Guys. 'the-chauffeur's' picture of the helmet holder is particularly revealing, my 1970 USA frame number 103****, doesn't have the hook to hold a helmet on the rear seat support - yet Piki's site offers: HONDA CB750 FOUR K0 WARNING DECALS KIT that includes two yellow 'HELMET HOLDER' labels. I guess different markets and changes in the production run produced some versions that had the hook. Seems I don't need the HELMET HOLDER decal then. Perhaps the battery label goes on the inner rear mudguard (too big to sit anywhere else), but not sure if it should be there at all on this edition.

It's been a while (8+ years) since I bought mine - could have been from Piki or part of a small repro kit that I got from Silvers.  I'm guessing they were a generic collection of decals that suited several models - or at least some of the decals suited some of the models.

Never knew the earlier frames were missing the hooks.  Had a quick flick through John Wyatt and Mark Heycock's books and could see images of sandcast frames without hooks.  Both books list changes between models, but there's nothing on the changeover from no hooks to hooks.  Given that the more significant changes seem to have happened with the introduction of the K2, my guess is that's when they started appearing.  At the same time, there were no signs of the battery stickers . . .

Hello there, I could sell individual decals, not problem, or if you need a special decal, let me know and I will make it for you.
Best Regards.
