550F Silencer

Does anyone have recommendations for a replacement silencer or, if needed, a full system for a 550F that is not too loud.

The silencer that came with my Café Racer is a cut down straight through and, even after fitting a baffle, is far too loud for me.

Also I have measured the OD of the collector box outlet pipe at 56mm so am struggling to find a 'slip on' large enough to fit. Is this the correct size for the original header and collector box, they look original?

56mm sounds about right as, the silencer is 60mm ID and there is the gasket. I have a silencer that I was going to put up forsale.
A motad in Stainless is a good replacement, if you can find one

Either way I'm interested as if it's original I would like it just in case I return the bike to stock spec.

Good luck with finding an original Oggy. I've seen more Unicorn turds recently!   Lol.   I have a 550 Motad system in the shed (I'll see if I can get a photo posted up here or if you give me your email I'll send you one if you are interested).  Its in reasonable shape but I ended up buying a Delkevic stainless system for mine so the Motad is surplus to requirements.

I've looked at the Delkevic system but wasn't sure how they sound.
Is yours the straight or megaphone silencer and is it loud?
If you can post a photo of the Motad I may be interested.

Mind you, if Trigger sells me his for 99p I won't need it! 🤣🤣🤣

My Delkevic is the straight system and yes, it is loud.  Strange isn't it?  When I was a kid I'd have junked the original system and put on something like the Delkevic in a flash.  Now like you. I prefer something more original and quieter.   I must be an old fart!    [ Guests cannot view attachments ]  

Here's the Motad, the picture flatters it to be honest, it would need work if you were to fit it, but could be made nice with effort.   I see you are just down the road in Hull, so if you fancy a detailed look you are welcome to pop up. Now the lockdown rules have been relaxed. I live just a few miles North of Brid off the A165.

On the whole yes, the main body is very good however where the down pipes fit in there is some corrosion I've tried to photograph this below:

The hole is free it comes with the corrosion.
