Our local one-man garage has plenty of fuel but because his main business is fixing cars he's found it too tiring to keep coming out to man the pumps...so now has his 'no fuel' sign out. He'll only serve his regulars and at his normal prices, there aren't many of those!

I haven't gone to work today because I can't get fuel anywhere.if I'm lucky I have a day's worth left in one van and two in the other.working outside with the changeable weather it's just not worth risking waisting it.

They filled our local station today and again the lines of waiting cars is incredible. I now have 69 miles range left in the work vehicle then I too am sitting at home. I refuse to queue up like that blocking a main road and bus route, the police should move them on they are a hazard.

I filled up my Freelander this morning, luckily I use the non fancy diesel as that's all they had. No queues but lots of warning signs that they had run out of everything else. I still had ¼ tank left before filling up but I'm driving down to Sussex tomorrow for a few days with a load of driving around whilst down there. I wanted to make sure I could get there and back without panicking about where I'm going to fill up again. They had increased the diesel from 133.9 to 139.9 though.

I usually fill up my Jeep every 6-7 weeks when it's down to a quarter tank then brim it - my range is presently down to 80 miles - I'll stay put until things settle down & I can buy £80's worth as usual.
Wendys Freelander is good for another 2-3 weeks hopefully by then the situation might be back to normal.

Here we go again. Now the media is calling for health workers to be given priority over fuel. Why?? Except for home visiting staff the rest can go to work on the bus. What about emergency services, essential logistics, and people who cant carry the tools of their trade on their backs. Anyone else think the British media have hit rock bottom, just a load of sensationalist scumbags. Very very poor journalism.

Why should teaching assistants be seen as essential workers? I'm a subcontractor for a large well known university. If I can't do my job the students can't use the building witch means the teachers can't do there's.
I can't afford to sit at home but I'm not prepared to sit in a queue.

Things are quieting down around where we live, the local Morrisons filling station was quiet yesterday and my wife filled up the car as normal at Costco with no queus at all.
Cheers

It seems that every single car and van in the queues have "empty" tanks and are desperate for fuel, what shortage are all these idiots going to cause next, I see one pub has a sign outside "beer in short supply-panic buy here"

They will need to up the £100 limit on card payments as the last time I put fuel in my van £100 didn't fill it. That was before all the present rises.

I reckon that the whole fuel shortage, panic buying scare story was started by the manufacturers of electric cars to hurry up the move to electric vehicles. 🤪😣🙄
