What a way to start the day, I went to my bike and found some turd had drained my fuel for me, at least they left my reserve there......is this what we have come to?

Diesel faeries remain the bane of truck lives, apparently many of them are travelers and those counter measures aren't much use against them.

Provided you are a member our local CostCo has plenty of fuel - they have  their own tankers & drivers apparently - not been myself but a mate filled his works van up - no queues.

I did the Ride to the Wall on Saturday.  I was really nervous riding down that I wouldn't be able to gas up for the trip back North.  I needn't have worries as the big Shell station on the A38 near the Arboretum had bigger queues for the pish stones than the pumps.  Arrived home a trifle damp!

I was running low again today. But I need not worry as I drowned the van in a ford before I ran out.🙄 I have come to the conclusion that the AA know nothing about engines as the first thing they did was turn the van over even though I told him it was hydro locked. It went with a donk then dead his response was can't do nothing with that got in his van and left. 6 hours later I'm home.

As designated driver (I was drunk) my wife drowned my 2.8 Ford Capri in a flood years ago, the air intake was next to the headlights.

After getting out and pushing it from the lagoon it had stopped in, dummy here tried to bump start it on a hill. No joy, the engine just locked. Next day I took the plugs out, and jets of water squirted out when I cranked it over. I got it started, it made a noise like a skeleton abusing itself in a dustbin, and had to go off to an engine centre for new main bearing shells and a crank regrind.

My brother and I managed to get it started today and it dont sound to bad a slight tap when cold but I think it has always done that.
Airbox,Turbo,intercooler,all pipework and 1+4 full of water. Loads of compresion so hopfully it will be OK.
I think I may have got away with it.
