Last Ride

Hello everyone,
I am Hairys other half, which unfortunately became only one of us early this morning.
Hairy passed away after a long and ongoing difficult illness.
He loved this group and would tell me your stories with your failures and hits, , I did put triumphs but it didn't feel appropriate on this particular occasion, I would have been sent to the shed to check on what he had in there, they are definitely not &£#@ Triumphs.
His bike knowledge was extensive and to be honest, it went over my head when it came to the little nuances of engine rebuilds, spoke alignment and torque but he loved them.
After a botched operation, he couldn't ride anymore and that made him annoyed but I would like to thank you for being like minded, you made his life better.
Best wishes
Kim

Sad news indeed. He enjoyed trying to push my buttons.
Who is going to throw abuse at me now for owning Italian bikes.
The rear light fell out of my aprilia last week near Stansted he would have loved that.

Wow that came as a shock
Only about a month since I had one of the many jokes he sent me via Facebook Messenger. When he 1st sent me messages as 'Delboy Amazon' I was confused about who it was .... but then I saw the parrot picture and asked if it was 'hairy' as never knew his real name off SOHC.. he replied back " I have nieces and nephews that have only known me as Uncle Hairy'.
Always a wealth of knowledge on here and on the C90 forum he was on. Will be sadly missed by myself and everyone else on here and my deepest condolences to you and your family. I will have a curry at Christmas in his memory

That is a shock. I am a relative new boy on here but I am very aware of Hairy and always read his posts and his helpful advice.
I ride Italian bikes as well as sohc's but never mentioned it just in case
Condolences to you Kim and your family.
RIP Hairy

Very sad news to hear about the death of a member here known to me only as "Hairygit". I am pretty new here myself so did not know him well - it was very thoughtful that his widow took the time & trouble to let us know whilst the loss was so recent & painful - RIP fellow member. Amen Ted

Very sad to hear the news of the your loss. Many come and go here, but Hairy was one of the long term fixed assets of this site with helpful words and a dose of humour added. My condolence to you, family and all who knew him close.
