Petition to allow access to all Bus Lanes for Motorcycles.
« on: May 11, 2022, 10:07:58 AM »
I pinched this from a Triumph Bike Forum.

It's a Petition asking for the law to provide access to all Bus Lanes for Motorcycles. Seems like a good idea to me, especially if you commute on your Motorcycle in Towns or Cities.

Signed,

It really is confusing,

Some towns allow it, others will send you a fixed penalty notice for doing the same thing,

Done, even though I live in Wales and I think it only covers England. Hopefully Wales will follow suit.

Most are marked so mopeds can use them but anything over 50cc isn't allowed. Unless the local authority has authorised it I suppose.

Bikers in London have been able to use bus lanes since the mid 90’s. TfL introduced the idea as a trial to reduce accidents. It proved successful and was made permanent. Hopefully the rest of the country will follow.
