Evening all.
just finishing off the wiring and flicked the switch for the first time. neutral/oil pressure straight up but the rectifier got very hot very quick. disconnected it immediately. is the rectifier snafu ?

If it(or battery) was wired up wrong, probably. you need to do some testing as per workshop manual

Rectifier is the only thing on the bike that is polarity concious and can be harmed by incorrect wiring up consequently it is common but only when a mistake has been made
