Put in a new hinge pin yesterday (#14) with minimum fuss by using an automatic centre punch (into the conical hole of the hinge pin) and smallest socket I could find (3mm) as a dolly / on the head.
Towels, of course under the work, and gradually worked up the punch pressure as started out somewhat apprehensive.
But, no issues, job done single handed, quickly and neatly.
