If the internals are ok, go for it. The badges alone are worth £50 if you don’t use them.

Yes looks descent on the outside. Also got that unobtanium flap lock. I’m sure any key will fit.😜

Why no pics of the inside? what are they hiding?
I might have one of those flap locks lying around, didn't know they are rare. And yes, any Honda key fits as a rule.

Think I've got that as well. I broke a brand new, out of the crate, CBX550 that had the same type of lock on the tank, it's still sitting in my toolbox amongst all the other parts I pocketed as I stripped it. It's looks similar and Honda did tend to use lots of parts on other models so it may be the same.
Does it look like this.

I thought the lock had come of the CBX I broke but the tank lock on that was different, it may have come from another part of the bike though, some sort of flap I can't remember. It's definitely brand new as is the clip, you can tell by the condition. In the background you can see the chain adjust blocks off the same bike. Got loads of odd and ends off that bike still, used the drive chain on my 500 as well as the brand new battery. The rest of the bike went up into the parts dept for use on warranty claims. QPM made thousands on that bike, used the removed parts as brand new warranty replacements as we just couldn't get parts for the model at the time.

We used to do that at City when was there, it was just far easier than waiting for Japan.
As a rule they were pretty good but......72 hrs from Japan and 24-48 from Holland bt sometimes we'd be hanging on for ever!
I don't actually need the lock ken, Ive fitted a push button, sprung loaded thingy, onto it as I couldn't find one for love nor money ' But yes thats the daddy. Its the other clip I was refering to that holds the clip in its kind of a dumbell shape (17526390000), and acts as a sprung bar for the tangs of the lock to stay behind when the tank 'flap' (
) is down and locked.............Phil, get in there mate

Yes, would suit me as the mine is a little 2nd hand as the po used a screw driver rather than a key to open it. I think he used the same screwdriver on the ignition
