A mate has kindly lent me his carbtune kit. Seems straight forward but the instructions say to blank off balance pipes on carbs , does this mean the 2 over flow pipes that come from carbs 2 and 3 ? Or not applicable in my case ?

Thats usually when there's balance pipes to pair carbs on the vacuum side, which I'm not aware of on these engines.
Should just be able to connect to the vac ports and run it to see correct reading.
