Hello from a CB750K7 owner
« on: May 14, 2023, 07:47:53 PM »
Evening all, checking in from sunny Northamptonshire!

I’ve been dipping into the site for a week or so in preparation for my new arrival. My 1977 CB750K7, it’s the second time that I have owned this bike, I thought I was done with it but it had gotten under my skin and was lucky enough to be able to bring it home.

I wasn’t aware of this place first time around and I’m sure I will be dropping in regularly, there a few things (as always) that I need to do with the bike but all in all I’m already very happy with it as it stands.

I also have a modern Triumph Bonneville T120 Black but I missed what these motorcycles provide. I am by no means an expert with the spanners so will be doing lots of reading and learning.

Looking forward to finding my way round here, all the best

Greg

Welcome to the forum Greg. You are a lucky man to get your old bike back. Sometimes you kick yourself when you sell a bike and miss it almost straight away and especially when a new bike doesn't meet expectations! If I had enough garage space and money I would never had sold any of my previous bikeS (with the exception of the James Captain ::)!).

Thanks for the warm welcome all, I agree, I was very lucky to be able to buy the bike back and there certainly does seem to be plenty of help, advice and reference here. I will try to search for any information that I may need before asking silly questions!!

Looking forward to getting involved.

Yes very lucky indeed - I bought back my old Mini 1275 S some 4/5 years after I had sold it when the owner turned up at my house - he gave me first refusal. I was short of cash as we had recently moved house so it was quite a low offer - he snapped my hand off - that was the start of another extensive rebuild. Wish I still had it the values have gone daft. Still I did my bit as custodian - LOV378F - last log book issued in 1995 - it's been returned to it's original colour - battleship Grey.
