Wow lovely looking Triumph.
Thanks Ted, I’ve had it a couple of years now and have made a few changes, nothing too drastic but I’m really happy with how it is now. All the original bits are boxed and ready to put back on in twenty years when originality is what I will probably want.

Like a lot of us here we sometimes hanker for makes we have owned in our younger days.
Ioved my Triumph 21 especially the click type speedoneter - my Mum hated it due to the oil leaks it always had.
I'm way out of date with newer models (Post 1970) I see it has twin shocks at the rear is that a retro thing by Triumph or is it older than it looks?

Brembos on the front Ted

It’s a 1200cc parallel twin.

In 1964 the 21 seemed plenty fast enough on drum brakes f&r.😁😁

Same engine as my speedmaster I think. A big engine but very manageable IMO.

Did you ever read the road test on the Ural Ted, from memory

Stopping distance from 40mph====== the horizon

Stopping distance from 60mph(if you can get it to go that fast) =======14 miles past the horizon

Cracking few hours out at Cadwell Park today. They had a classic bike track day, glorious weather for it. You can't see much in my photo but you get the gist.
This weekend it's the British Historic Motorcycle Championship, it should be a good weekend.

Saw some great racing at the CMRC meeting at Oulton Park a couple of weeks ago, lots of sights and sounds from my mispent youth, here's some pics to give a flavour of the meeting.

Cheers

Lovely bikes and especially the Triton. I like how he's braced the downpipes, very similar to how I have braced mine. Considering he is racing the Triton the idea appears to work in practice, I'm still to get my bike actually on the road👍

Yes I have always been fond of Tritons, in the 70's my mate had a Dresda Triton with some mad compression ratio, kicking it over was risky, but boy did it move and handle well.

Wandering through Much Hadham today. A few 750's. Seemed to cover all bases, one fully restored, one customised, one a bit used.
