Cheap Spanners at Halfords

Seems like a good deal, but I don't want to go spending money on items that I would have little or no use for. I must admit to having similar sized sockets, but they rarely get used.

Still, I will keep an eye on the website for similar deals.

Halfords Professional spanners are fantatstic value and they are great quality

I can see your point if you have these size all ready, if you have not then it is a cheap way to get them.
I think they are really good tools, i have stopped buying snap-on as to many have been nicked.
My ex brother in-law used my tool box one day it was raining i came to use them a few weeks later and the lot was just sitting in water he had not keep the lid shut as it was raining and not dried any thing so a lot of my snap-on got damaged and have lost there finish, now thats why i use Halfords as not to bad if this happens again.
But i think you are missing the main point it is a cheap Xmas / birthday gift for your wife/girl friend / partner that's the main thing ! :D.
