What's peoples thoughts on these fork stanchions? The chrome is very good where anything slides on it but quite corroded higher up.
I'm thinking get the worst of the corrosion off refit and protect with lanogaurd or something similar?

Thats common as its under the headlamp brackets, clean all the rust off ans silver smoothrite

Paint after fitting so it's metal to contact in the yoke clamps?

You cant paint after fitting as the headlamp brackets are in the way, just carefull open up the yokes with no clamp bolts fitted

Pay particular attention to the area the fork seal comes into contact with for scratches and pitting. If ok as Bryan says.
