If the gauge is in thousandths you need different plastigauge as the smallest reading is 7 thou and that is waaaay too big for a Honda

Not necessarily, the clearance is less than 7 thou but until the correct stuff is used we dont know the clearance.

You need to used Red plastigauge not green

The wider the squash the tighter the bearing clearance.

Looks approx 3 1/5 thou (0.088 mm) from that assessment.

Iirc the Plastgauge I used was in a green package.
It was marked as 0.001-0.003".
0.025 - 0.076 mm.

Not sure if that is correct for your engine. Someone here will correct me if I'm mistaken.
