May 1st :Interesting afternoon! I rode down to the Blackheath Tea Hut on my CB400F2, a bikers haunt ( see pic from a few years ago) but there was hardly anyone there, which turned out to be helpful. While guzzling coke and pigging out on a giant Belgian bun, a lady rode up who I've seen once before. We start talking then she ( Jane) mentions she had been a 1980s London dispatch rider and radio controller. We quickly discover we knew each other nearly forty years ago! She had ridden with me in a small company called Falcon, (see pic of me those days)  and she was the radio controller when I later rode for a big company called Addison Lee. Lots of yak yak yak about days gone by from a life style that the computer and Internet basically destroyed. A bit a of a serendipity,    shame I didn't have the camera.

That's a great story George and especially considering London is such a big city. To bump into somebody you knew 40 years ago is amazing. It was probably the mighty CB250RS she remembers

Nah....it was probably the ear holeings I got off her when she was a radio controller!

A bit late but the site was down on Good Friday. I went to the latest Rolling Thunder Ride in London on Good Friday. I won't discuss the politics of it , but this veteran's ride and gathering is great fun and socializing for someone like me. I didn't have my camera so I did a screen grab of a youtube and got a couple of someone else who went, We had Whitehall all to ourselves as well.

Looks like a well attended event with quite a number of spectators lining the streets. Great excuse for a ride out. Not that we need an excuse!😂

A lovely sunny morning spent at Kempton Park Autojumble and Bike Show today (I took the RE650).
I spotted a Honda 50, C Reg and in need of a total rebuild, £1300 was the rather hopeful asking price.
I found a TL125 for anyone wishing to bring something back from the brink, this one had no engine and was in a very sorry state, yours for 'only' £700  .
It was the usual show of bikes in the actual bike show, very few new bikes on display from one year to the next although there was a lovely NUT (I think it won Stafford in April) and a Joey Dunlop / Wayne Gardner Honda RSC850.
At least I bought some polishing mops, LED's for the TL along with breather hose etc. Lovely ride over to Kempton but a nighmare ride home, all the idiots are out today in their tin boxes not looking where they are going!

I managed to get an hour on the CB750 this afternoon. I didn’t see half as many bikes out on the road as I thought I might, the weather is perfect.
